The Dreaming Is Free project is led by a committee of self-employed and working-class youths, drawing from our experiences in Nigeria’s labor sector. Our goal is to help teenagers and youths begin aspiring early, empowering them to pursue dreams in various fields. With high poverty and unemployment rates, many young people are frustrated after finishing school. We aim to show that they can become self-sustaining even while in school.
We also recognize that not all youths have access to education due to financial constraints or dropping out. Dreaming Is Free provides hope, encouraging them to learn skills and develop a survival mindset in Nigeria’s tough environment. From tech development to fashion, music, and photography, there are countless opportunities to grow and excel.
This project encourages youth to act on their dreams now, fostering passion and innovation. For example, a teenager interested in fashion design can start learning and practicing while still in school. By the time they finish, they could already be on their way to becoming a professional.
Dreaming Is Free is a collaborative effort involving experienced entrepreneurs sharing insights and working with brands to inspire the next generation. We focus particularly on art-related professions, which offer broad, expressive opportunities for young people to explore and succeed.
